2) Main Menu
2.1 Kick
This button allows you to eject a passenger out of the vehicle.
2.2 Manual
This button will give you a link to the online Manual, which you are reading right now.
2.3 Report
This will send a text report to your local chat in regards to the vehicle's status.
The report shows you who last drove the vehicle and the time at which they sat down.
It also shows the same information for the last passenger, medic and patient.
It will also display the vehicle's fuel status and total driven miles.

2.4 Restock All
This will restock all equipment of the vehicle in case any of it was lost.
It will also replace the stretcher in the patient area of the Ambulance.

2.5 Modular HUD
This vehicle is compatible with the HD Modular HUD, which is distributed by a centralized server within Second Life.
To receive a copy of the latest version simply select 'Modular HUD' in the main menu of your vehicle.
Alternatively you can click on the Vehicle Manual in the glove box of the cab.
The Modular HUD allows you to control all of the functions of your vehicle.
It will display different buttons and controls based on which spot you are sitting on.
An automatic sync to your vehicle is performed when attaching the HUD or sitting down.
To receive a copy of the latest version simply select 'Modular HUD' in the main menu of your vehicle.

To get a copy of the latest version simply select 'Gear HUD' in the main menu of your vehicle.
The Gear HUD handles most of the equipment on the HD Vehicles.
You will not be able to use the compatible equipment without having the Gear HUD attached.
For more information on the features of the Gear HUD please consult the HD Fire System 2 Manual.
To get a copy of the latest version simply select 'Gear HUD' in the main menu of your vehicle.

2.7 Floor Overlay
The Floor Overlay option allows you to dirty up the patient area.
The following selections are available: Blood, Vomit, Dirt, Rascals

2.8 RestockSCBA
This option is only available if at least one of the SCBA Bottles has been used.

2.9 Drive Config
The Drive Configuration Menu offers various settings to adjust the driving behavior.
The owner of the vehicle can set his own preferences while everyone else shares their settings.
These three settings can be changed by anyone with access to the vehicle:

The owner of the vehicle can set his own preferences while everyone else shares their settings.
These three settings can be changed by anyone with access to the vehicle:
Speed Retain
This button activates or disables the Speed Retain Mode.
The Speed Retain Mode will retain the speed in MPH after the gas pedal / forward arrow key is no longer pressed.
To switch the vehicle to regular free rolling you can tap the brakes / down arrow key once.
This driving assistant can be very helpful to maintain a constant speed without tapping the forward arrow key.

Bad Road Fix
This button activates or disables the Bad Roads Fix overwrite setting.
The Bad Roads Fix will skip the ray-casting process for airborne detection.
Without airborne detection the driving experience will be less realistic.
The vehicle can now be controlled while the wheels do not touch any surfaces.
It might be necessary to activate the Bad Roads Fix for driving on Roads with a faulty Physics Shape.

Transmission
This button switches the Transmission between Realistic and NextGen Mode.
In realistic mode the transmission will switch in this order: P - R - N - D - 2 - 1.
This resembles a regular automatic transmission.
While in NextGen mode the gear order is changed to: R - N - 1 - 2 - D.
This is closer to the way the NextGen Trucks worked.
For both modes:
1st gear limits the speed to circa 15 MPH.
2nd gear limits the speed to circa 35 MPH.
Drive gear limits the speed to circa 80 MPH.
The Parking Mode can be activated on the Modular HUD to half the top speed.
In realistic mode the transmission will switch in this order: P - R - N - D - 2 - 1.
This resembles a regular automatic transmission.
While in NextGen mode the gear order is changed to: R - N - 1 - 2 - D.
This is closer to the way the NextGen Trucks worked.

Turn Radius
This button opens the menu to change the Turn Radius.
The Turn Radius has 5 possible settings: Very Tight, Tight, Moderate, Wide, Very Wide

This button opens the menu to change the Brake Strength.

3) Owner Only
3.1 ThemeBox3
This option allows you to install a rezzed Panther Type 3 ThemeBox3.

3.2 Access
This menu allows you to change the vehicle's permissions on who can operate it.
There are two levels of access: Crew and Passenger.
Crew includes the Driver, Front Passenger and Medic.
Passenger allows to sit in any of the passenger seats or lay on the stretcher.
You may set each to Owner, Group or Anyone.
Group includes all members of the group that the vehicle is set to.
To further restrict the access the truck supports the use of a whitelist.
With the whitelist you can add specific people to the Crew role.
Only usernames can be used for the whitelist.
For accounts without a last name you only have to enter the first name.
Display Names are not supported as they are subject to frequent changes.

- Setting a website URL for the Clipboard below the Action Area

4) Operation
4.1 Cab Interior
The interior of the cab has several interactive control elements.
Those can be used by the Driver or anyone with Crew Access permission while the cab doors are open.

Left Side
- Lights Switch to cycle between No Lights, Park Lights and Low Beams
- Parking Brake to set or release the Parking Brake
Steering Wheel Area
- Center of Steering Wheel to sound the Horn
- Multilever on left side of Steering Column to toggle High Beams
- Engine Start / Stop button to start or stop the Vehicle Engine

Releasing the Parking Brake will activate Physical Mode for the vehicle.
Setting the Transmission to Park Gear (P) will prevent the vehicle from becoming physical.

Steering Wheel Area
- Center of Steering Wheel to sound the Horn
If no sirens are active the stock car horn will sound.
If Siren Pri or Siren Sec are active the electronic horn will sound.
- Hazard Lights Switch on top of Steering Column to activate Hazard LightsIf Siren Pri or Siren Sec are active the electronic horn will sound.
- Multilever on left side of Steering Column to toggle High Beams
If the Lights Switch is set to Low Beams then the Multilever will switch the High Beams On / Off.
If the Lights Switch is set to Off or Park Lights then the Multilever will activate the High Beams for as long as the Multilever is clicked.
- Gear Shifter on right side of Steering Column to quickly switch to Reverse GearIf the Lights Switch is set to Off or Park Lights then the Multilever will activate the High Beams for as long as the Multilever is clicked.
If the Vehicle is not in the Reverse Gear (R) then the transmission will switch to R.
If the Vehicle is already in R then the transmission will switch back to the last active gear prior to R.
- Turn Signal Symbols on the Dashboard to activate the corresponding Turn SignalIf the Vehicle is already in R then the transmission will switch back to the last active gear prior to R.

Center Area
- Emergency Light Lever to cycle Emergency Lights between Off, Low and High
In most situations High can be used while responding to a call and Low while stationary at a scene.
You can also click on the labels 'Off', 'Low' or 'High' next to the lever to switch directly to the corresponding Lights Mode.
- Switch Panel to control Sirens, Airhorn and Scene LightsYou can also click on the labels 'Off', 'Low' or 'High' next to the lever to switch directly to the corresponding Lights Mode.

- Glove Box to open or close it
Inside of the Glove Box you can find the Panther Cutaway Vehicle Manual and a small book labeled 'I need more HUDs in my life'.
Clicking on the Vehicle Manual will offer the URL to this manual.
Clicking on the HUD Book will offer you a copy of the latest version of the Modular HUD.

Ceiling
- Dome Light to switch the ceiling light On or Off
If either the Driver Side or Passenger Side Door are open then the ceiling light will always be on.

5) Equipment
You need to wear the HD Gear HUD in order to use any of the equipment.
You can click on most of the items in the compartments to grab a copy.
The equipment will temp-attach directly to your avatar.
Some of the equipment can only be taken once and will restore to the vehicle when detached while in the same region.
If any of the equipment goes missing then you can select 'Options' > 'Restock' in the vehicle menu to restore it.
It's an Electrocardiogram (ECG) with an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) mode.

5.2 HD Medical Stretcher
This vehicle is equipped with the HD Medical Stretcher.
Two modes of operation are available for the Stretcher: Linked and Unlinked.

5.3 S2 Health Pack 21
This vehicle is equipped with the S2 Health Pack 21.It's an Electrocardiogram (ECG) with an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) mode.

7) Textures
This vehicle comes with full templates for the body.
You can find them online: HD Templates
The body textures have to be saved as JPG in order to display properly.
To apply your custom paintjob textures please use the 'Paint' tab on the Customize HUD.
All decal textures have to be saved as PNG with a full transparent background.
For the decals you can enter 'None' to display no texture.
To apply your custom decal textures please use the 'Decal' tab on the Customize HUD.
You can find them online: HD Templates

This vehicle is fully compatible with the HD Panther Type 3 ThemeBox3.
You can edit the basic HD ThemeBox3 that came packaged with this truck.

9) Script API
This vehicle comes with a simple Script API.
To activate it click on the body of the vehicle and select 'Options' > 'Script API'
Now enter the channel you want to use to send the commands.
Leave it blank to deactivate the Script API.
The owner of the sending object has to match the owner of the vehicle.
The following commands are supported:
The vehicle will reply to each command by repeating it plus an integer for the execution status.
Example:

Now enter the channel you want to use to send the commands.
Leave it blank to deactivate the Script API.
