Thank you for purchasing the Portable Pump from HD Emergency.

If you are experiencing any problems with your product, please be sure that you have read this manual in its entirety and you fully understand its contents.

2) Main Menu

2.1 Manual

This button will give you a link to the online Manual, which you are reading right now.

2.2 Gear HUD

The HD Gear HUD is required in order to connect HD Hose Lines to the Portable Pump.
The HUD is distributed by a centralized server within Second Life which makes sure that you'll always receive the newest version.
To get a copy of the latest version simply select 'Gear HUD' in the main menu.
For more information on the features of the Gear HUD please consult the HD Fire System 2 Manual.

2.3 Draft Float

The Draft Float button will request a copy of the HD Draft Float, which will directly attach to your avatar.
You need to have the HD Gear HUD attached in order to use the HD Draft Float.
The button will dispense an unlimited number of HD Draft Floats as needed.

2.4 Move

If you want to easily reposition the Portable Pump without using the Second Life Build Tools then you can use the Move option to do so.
This will activate a phantom mode for the Portable Pump and it will follow the movements of your avatar.
Simply walk to where you need to setup the Portable Pump and click on any part of it to place it back on the ground.
The phantom mode will automatically deactivate once the Move mode has been exited.


3) Owner Only

3.1 Color

The Color Menu gives you the option to change the primary color of the Portable Pump.
You can either choose one of the available color options or select 'Custom' to enter your custom color.
The color can be entered in various formats:
Hex: #RRGGBB or 0xRRGGBB or RRGGBB
Vector: R G B or R,G,B or within range [0,255] or [0.0,1.0]

3.2 Access

This menu allows you to change the permissions on who can operate it the Portable Pump.
You may set the Access to Owner, Group or Everyone.
Group includes all members of the group that the Portable Pump is set to.
The Move option is only available to other Avatars than the owner if the Restrict Access option is set to 'No'.

3.3 Restrict Move

This option allows you to make the Move Option only available to the owner of the Portable Pump.
Simply click the button to switch between the different modes.


4) Controls

In order to directly control the Portable Pump right click on it and select 'Operate'.

4.1 Start Pump

- click on the On/Off flip-switch to toggle it, make sure it is set to 'On'
- click on the Start button to trigger the ignition and start the pump

4.2 Flow Control

- the pull lever with the + and - symbol is used to control the flow
- while kneeling next to the pump you can use the Page Up and Page Down key to control the flow
- pressurized water source (Hydrant or Truck): the lever toggles the flow valve between open and closed
- drafting operations (Dry Hydrant, Draft Float or Drop Tank): the lever controls the suction strength

The impeller of the pump is free spinning in neutral.
That means that a pressurized water source can push water through it even if the engine is turned off.

4.3 Refuel

The Portable Pump is powered with regular gas.
It is compatible with the NTBI Global Fuel System
You can use either the fuel pump or gas can to refuel the Portable Pump.
Please refer to the NTBI official wiki for instructions on how to use either.
